SQL Database Engineer - Portugal

As a SQL Database Engineer, you will integrate an internal IT team to be involved in different projects to run Mission Critical Solutions of our clients, from the deep practical experience with the customer to Pro-Active advice to improve their operations.

What are your key Responsibilities?

• Seek to find and implement innovative solutions and provide recommendations;
• Database administration and architecture of SQL Servers in public and private cloud infrastructure;
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining SQL Servers, design and architect database solutions, planning, leading, and executing database projects and keeping up with the current trends in technology, analyse;
• Troubleshoot;
• Support the day-to-day run function of the IG&H database environments with a focus on system performance;
• Ensure the integrity of the data managed;
• Support SQL Roadmap development, upgrading/migration, and execution;
• Monitor the SQL Server database environments using provided tools and ensuring performance, availability, and capacity support SLAs and workload growth targets;
• Respond to alerts and support problem resolution;
• Ensure compliance throughout SQL environment backup, recovery, refresh, and disaster recovery;
• Release management process through executing code deployments;

What you bring
Extensive experience with database technologies and architecture in Azure, SQL (MSSQL/DWH)
Understanding of API oriented and optimized data shaping/persistence
Experience with working in an agile environment (SAFe, Scrum, DevOps)
Data Architect / DBA experience on large scale enterprise cloud transaction processing and reporting systems
Clear understanding of scaled database architectures
Knowledge in Business Intelligence and Data Engineering (nice to have)
Mindset of Troubleshoot & Problem solving
Proficient communication skills, with ability to organize and present technical knowledge in an easily understood manner
Able to have a technical communication in English (a must)
Can-do, deliver and critical thinking mindset with a positive and proactive behavior

1. Review and First Interview
Based on your cv and cover letter we would like to contact you for a first interview.

In the first interview you will meet an IG&H manager and a manager People & Culture who will interview you based on your motivation, resume and (technical) fit for the role

2. Second Interview
In the second interview you will meet an IG&H manager. Here we will have a deeper look into your experience, qualifications and technical fit for the role. You will also be presented with one or more issues, to see how you would handle them.
3. Partner Talk
In the third phase you will meet an IG&H partner.
Here we look at what makes you unique.
4. Offer
We make an offer to the candidate we feel is the best fit for the role.
