Medior Data Engineer - Portugal (Lisbon, Porto, Coimbra or Évora)


What are you going to do?

As a Medior Data Engineer at IG&H you design, build, run and improve data driven products for our sectors Retail, Financial Services and Health. This includes our current offering of Data & Analytics products for Financial Services and Retail, as well as other new products. You will work in an inspiring and enthusiastic diverse within Data & Analytics that consists of  Researchers, Data Scientists, Data Consultants and Data Engineers. The team itself is based in Utrecht, however we have offices in Portugal and DACH, where you can work from, depending where you live. You are an all-rounder who likes to explore new technologies (Data Pipeline tools / Distributed Computing / MS Azure / APIs), Big data tools (Spark/Hadoop) and take our product proposition to a new level.

What is required?
BSc or MSc degree related to Data Science or Computer Science
2-5 years of working experience. If you are a Lead or almost a Lead Data Engineer, we invite you to apply as well, as you will be scaled accordingly in our salary grid.
Analytical thinking
Excellent verbal and written command of the English language
Experience with Python and SQL

Our four stage recruitment process

1. Review and First Interview
Based on your cv and cover letter we would like to contact you for a first interview.

In the first interview you will meet a colleague from the People & Culture and Data & Analytics teams who will interview you based on your motivation, resume and (technical) fit for the role

2. Case Round
In the case round you will meet two consultants.
You will be presented with one or more issues.
3. Meet-up with partners
In the third interview you will meet two IG&H partners.
Here we look at what makes you unique.
4. Offer
We make an offer to the candidate we feel is the best fit for the role.
